Security tightened in Samawah during New Year's Day
SAMAWAH, Iraq - Authorities in the southern Iraqi city of Samawah have tightened security since the start of the Muslim New Year on Feb. 22 as a precaution against terrorist attacks as residents participate in a traditional event in memory of a Shiite Muslim leader.
