(3)Part of Kyushu Shinkansen service launched

KAGOSHIMA, Japan - Kyushu Shinkansen bullet train Tsubame comes out of a tunnel March 13 as the service opened for business on a 128-kilometer route between Kagoshima-Chuo, Kagoshima Prefecture, and Shin-Yatsushiro, Kumamoto Prefecture. At the opening ceremony at Kagoshima-Chuo station, Land, Infrastructure and Transport Minister Nobuteru Ishihara said the launch of the Kyushu Shinkansen ''will activate economies along the line and attract more tourists to the region.''
