Iraqi doctor arrives in Japan for training

OSAKA, Japan - Iraqi doctor Hussam Mahmood Salih arrives at Kansai airport near Osaka on April 23 for six months of training at Hiroshima University Hospital. He shakes hands with Atsuko Oe, head of a group helping Iraqi children at the airport.

      OSAKA, Japan - Ten Iraqi children orphaned during the Iraq war arrive at Kansai International Airport near Osaka on Aug. 6 for a nine-day summer camp with Japanese orphans who lost their parents in the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake and others from around the world. Tokyo-based nonprofit organization Ashinaga invited the five boys and five girls, aged 6 to 17, to take part in the camp.
