(1)Court rules Koizumi's Yasukuni visits were private
OSAKA, Japan - Plaintiffs, including a Taiwanese woman in traditional costume, enter the Osaka District Court in Osaka's Kita Ward on May 13 to hear a ruling on their lawsuit seeking damages over Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi's visits to war-related Yasukuni Shrine. The court rejected the lawsuit filed by 236 people, including 124 from Taiwan.
