JRA pays highest cash prize
NIIGATA, Japan - In the 11th race at Niigata Racecourse on May 15, the Japan Racing Association paid out the highest-ever cash prize of 1,555,450 yen for a 100 yen slip betting game for the three horses likely to come in first, second and third. A total of 158 100 yen slips for the right three-horse combination had been sold, and one player cashed in the winning slip. The winner's identity is unknown.
