JAKARTA, Indonesia - Repatriated Japanese abductee Hitomi Soga smiles as she leaves a Jakarta hotel en route to Japan on July 18. Soga released an appreciation letter addressed to the Indonesian people and their government shortly before their departure. ''We leave for Japan today, but the past 10 days in Indonesia will become an unforgettably good memory for us for the rest of our lives,'' she said in the letter written in Japanese.

TOKYO, Japan - Repatriated abductee Hitomi Soga (R), her younger daughter Belinda (C) and elder daughter Mika arrive at a hotel in Tokyo on July 26 from the hospital where they had been staying with Charles Jenkins, Soga's husband and an accused U.S. Army deserter, following their arrival in Japan earlier this month.
