Asashoryu blasts out Kotomitsuki for 1st-day win

TOKYO, Japan - Yokozuna Asashoryu (L) pulverizes longtime nemesis komusubi Kotomitsuki Sept. 12 to claim a comfortable victory on the opening day of the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament at Tokyo's Ryogoku Kokugikan. Asashoryu is aiming to capture his fifth straight Emperor's Cup.
