Drama-filled Haneda Tokyu Hotel closes after 40 years

TOKYO, Japan - The Haneda Tokyu Hotel, close to Tokyo's Haneda airport and the scene of many historic events, shut down on Sept. 30 after operating for four decades. After it opened in August 1964, just before the Tokyo Olympics Games, the hotel witnessed the rapid transformation of the Japanese air travel industry.
