(1)Seibu holds off Daiei to win PL pennant

FUKUOKA, Japan - Seibu Lions players pose for a commemorative picture at Fukuoka Dome on Oct. 11 after the team clinches a 4-3 victory over the Daiei Hawks in the decider of the Pacific League playoffs for their first league title in two years and 15th in club history. The Lions will have a showdown with the Central League champion Chunichi Dragons in the best-of-seven Japan Series starting Saturday at Nagoya Dome.
