(4)Japan protests to China over submarine intrusion, demands apology
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi speaks to reporters at his office on Nov. 12 after Japan lodged a strong protest with China over a suspected nuclear submarine that intruded into Japanese waters which Tokyo determined belongs to the Chinese Navy. Koizumi called the incident ''extremely regrettable'' and stressed the need of mutual efforts to minimize the effects of the incident on bilateral relations.
