Saddam's defense counsel calls for Japan's help
TOKYO, Japan - Ziad al-Khasawneh, a spokesman for former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's defense counsel, urged the Japanese government March 1 to pressure the United States to allow Saddam to see members of his family and defense counsel more often. He made the remarks at a news conference at the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan in Tokyo.
