China reports increase in corruption cases
BEIJING, China - Jia Chunwang, the head of China's Supreme People's Procuratorate, addresses the National People's Congress at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on March 9. He said that in 2004, the top prosecutor's office pressed 1,275 cases involving graft, bribery and diversion of public funds, 4.9 percent more than the previous year.
