IDB chief wants Japan banks to support Latin America's development

GINOWAN, Japan - Inter-American Development Bank President Enrique Iglesias speaks in an interview with Kyodo News on April 6. Iglesias, on a visit to Okinawa for an IDB annual meeting, urged major Japanese banks to help stimulate private sector-driven economic development in Latin America through issuance of bonds and facilitation of Japanese investment in the region.
