Ex-Geneva envoy Oshima named as Japan ambassador to S. Korea: source
SEOUL, South Korean - The Japanese government has unofficially named Shotaro Oshima (file photo), former permanent representative to the international organizations in Geneva, as the new ambassador to South Korea, a diplomatic source said on June 8. Oshima will replace Toshiyuki Takano, who has been assigned to the post since January 2003, in the second half of this year, the source said.
