Taiwan's new top negotiator with China takes office
TAIPEI, Taiwan - Chang Chun-hsiung, a former premier and a senior member of the pro-independence Democratic Progressive Party, speaks at a press conference in Taipei on June 10 after taking office as chairman of the Strait Exchange Foundation. The foundation, which was created in 1991, handles bilateral exchanges with China in the absence of official ties.
