Japan to provide $200,000, supplies for U.S. storm victims

TOKYO, Japan - Chief Cabinet Secretary Hiroyuki Hosoda said Sept. 2 that Japan will provide $200,000 in cash to the American Red Cross and is ready to offer tents, blankets and other supplies worth up to $300,000 for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
