Gov't panel agrees to allow females to ascend imperial throne
TOKYO, Japan - Hiroyuki Yoshikawa, chairman of a government panel on imperial succession, tells reporters at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Oct. 25, that the panel have agreed to propose in a report to allow females and their descendants to take the imperial throne.
