Rescuers resume search for victims under crashed train cars

SHONAI, Japan - Rescue workers on Dec. 28 hoist one of first two carriage of an East Japan Railway Co. train that derailed on Dec. 25 in Yamagata Prefecture as they continue their search for victims of the fatal accident. Police and firefighters said they check will check whether any passengers are buried underneath, particularly under the first one.

            TOKYO, Japan - An artist's impression of a super deluxe ''Green Car'' cabin of a new shinkansen super-express train that East Japan Railway Co. plans to introduce on the extended Tohoku Shinkansen line by the end of fiscal 2010. According to JR East, the super deluxe ''Green Car'' will seat up to 18 passengers and will boast the same level of comfort as a first-class cabin on an airliner.
