JR East chairman hints at resignation over fatal derailment
SHONAI, Japan - Masatake Matsuda, chairman of East Japan Railway Co., offers flowers at the site of a fatal train derailment in the town of Shonai, Yamagata Prefecture, on Dec. 29. The six-car express Inaho No. 14 derailed there on Dec. 25, killing five passengers.
