Heavy snow claims 67 lives, Kitagawa visits affected area

FUKUI, Japan - Infrastructure minister Kazuo Kitagawa (C) talks with local officials in Katsuyama, Fukui Prefecture, after inspecting the extent of the damage caused by heavy snowfall in the prefecture on Jan. 8. The death toll from snow-related incidents since the start of the snow season in early December rose to 67.
