LDP lawmaker Matsumoto tenders resignation over election scam

TOKYO, Japan - Junior Liberal Democratic Party lawmaker Kazumi Matsumoto bows at a press conference in Tokyo on Jan. 18. Matsumoto announced his resignation from the House of Representatives to take the blame for an electoral campaign scandal involving his aides.
