Genkai town, Saga Pref. accepts MOX reactor plan

SAGA, Japan - Tsukasa Terada (R), mayor of the town of Genkai, presents to Shingo Matsuo, president of Kyushu Electric Power Co., documents stating the town's acceptance of the power company's plan to begin electric generation using uranium-and-plutonium mixed oxide fuel, or MOX, at the No. 3 reactor of its Genkai nuclear power plant at the municipal government in Saga Prefecture on March 26.
