Japan's 79 trillion yen FY 2006 budget clears parliament
TOKYO, Japan - Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi speaks at a press conference at his office after his administration's 79.69 trillion yen budget for fiscal 2006 cleared parliament on March 27. ''Now that the budget's passage during the (current) fiscal year is realized, I will work for its smooth implementation from April to consolidate the economic recovery,'' Koizumi said, adding, ''I'd like to aim to get it out of deflation as soon as possible.''
