Japan, U.S. start 2-day talks on beef trade
TOKYO, Japan - Michitaka Nakatomi (L), deputy director general of the Economic Affairs Bureau at Japan's Foreign Ministry, and Chuck Lambert, U.S. deputy agriculture undersecretary for marketing and regulatory products, shake hands at the Foreign Ministry in Tokyo on May 17 as they start two-day talks to discuss what further steps need to be implemented for Japan to lift its reimposed ban on American beef imports.
