Cabinet OKs plan to realign U.S. military presence
TOKYO, Japan - Okinawa Gov. Keiichi Inamine responds to questions from reporters in Tokyo on May 30 after the Japanese government endorsed a final plan on the realignment of the U.S. military presence in Japan. He said in a statement that the Cabinet decision without thorough consultation with local communities was ''extremely deplorable.
