Hermit crabs release offspring at Kagoshima beach

TOKUNOSHIMA, Japan - Coenobita cavipes, a type of hermit crab, release offspring at Kanamisaki Beach on Kagoshima Prefecture's Tokunoshima Island, the largest habitat for the protected marine creature in Japan, on July 28. The release is expected to continue until the end of August.
