Frenchman runs across five full continents
TOKYO, Japan - Serge Girard, a 52-year-old Frenchman, celebrates as he nears the finishing line in Tokyo on Sept. 3 of his 260-day, 19,100-km trans-Eurasia run which started in Paris on Dec. 17 last year. By completing the Eurasia run, Girard has crossed five continents -- first North America in 1997, followed by Australia, South America and Africa.
