Tobacco cards to carry e-money function

TOKYO, Japan - The Tobacco Institute of Japan and two other tobacco-related industry associations said Oct. 19 that integrated-circuit cards to be introduced in 2008 for vending machines with an age-verification system will have the function of electronic money.
