Uniqlo opens flagship store for full-scale foray into U.S.

NEW YORK, United States - People wait for the opening of Japanese casual clothing line Uniqlo's first flagship store in Manhattan's Soho district on Nov. 10. President Tadashi Yanai of Fast Retailing Co., known for the Uniqlo brand -- short for ''unique clothing''-- said he ''will open three to four large stores in Manhattan in the next two years.''
