Red Sox win rights for Matsuzaka for $51 million
NARITA, Japan - Japanese right-hander Daisuke Matsuzaka (C) arrives at Narita airport on Nov. 15 to leave for the United States for talks with his agent after the Boston Red Sox won the right to negotiate with him. The Seibu Lions accepted a $51.11 million offer, a record amount linked to a player's move in Japanese sports.
