Aeon group opens 150,000-sq-meter shopping mall in western Tokyo

MUSASHIMURAYAMA, Japan - The Aeon Co. group opened a new large-scale shopping mall, one of the largest in Tokyo with a total floor space of about 150,000 square meters, at the site of a former Nissan Motor Co. automobile plant located between the cities of Musashimurayama and Tachikawa in western Tokyo on Nov. 18. In addition to an outlet of the group's Jusco supermarket chain and a Mitsukoshi department store, the mall contains some 180 specialty stores and restaurants.
