Couple found guilty of buying kidney for transplant

MATSUYAMA, Japan - The Uwajima branch of the Matsuyama District Court on Dec. 26 sentenced Suzuo Yamashita, a company executive, and his common-law wife Tomoko Matsushita to one year in prison, suspended for three years, for buying a kidney for a transplant for him.
