S. Korea's former premier drops out of presidential race
SEOUL, South Korea - South Korea's former Prime Minister Goh Kun (R), a leading hopeful for December's presidential race, is kept unable to come out of an elevator by his supporters after announcing his decision not run for the presidency at a press conference in Seoul on January 16. ''After deeply anguishing, I decided not to run for the 17th presidential election,'' the 69-year-old Goh said in a statement.
