Miyazaki wants state aid to cope with aftermath of bird flu
TOKYO, Japan - Gov. Hideo Higashikokubaru (R) of Miyazaki, which has been plagued by an outbreak of bird flu, hands a pack of Miyazaki broiler to Agriculture Minister Toshikatsu Matsuoka in a meeting at the Agriculture Ministry on Jan. 29 as he called for government support to cope with the aftermath of the bird flu outbreak.
