Sanyo Electric Chairwoman Nonaka tenders resignation

TOKYO, Japan - Sanyo Electric Co. Chairwoman Tomoyo Nonaka (file photo). Nonaka tendered her resignation March 19, sources familiar with the matter said, reportedly because of conflict with other board members over the handling of the company's alleged improper accounting practices.
