Emperor, empress bid farewell to Swedish royal visitors

TOKYO, Japan - Emperor Akihito (L) and Empress Michiko (R) visit King Gustav and Queen Silvia of Sweden at their hotel in Tokyo on March 29 to bid farewell. The Swedish royal couple, in Japan since March 24, will head home on March 31 after a visit to Nagasaki. After bidding farewell to the royal visitors, the emperor and empress headed to the imperial household farm in Tochigi for holiday. (Pool photo)
