ASDF unveils PAC-3 missile defense system

TOKYO, Japan - Japan's Air Self-Defense Force unveils the country's first ground-based Patriot Advanced Capability-3 missile interceptor system at its base in Iruma, north of Tokyo, on April 13. Two PAC-3 launchers purchased from the United States and modified in Japan were deployed at the base on March 30.
