Abe, Prodi agree further cooperation on security, Afghans, summit
TOKYO, Japan - Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi (L) and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe hold a joint press conference at the end of their talks in Tokyo on April 16. The two leaders later agreed to further mutual cooperation in the fields of security and defense, assistance for Afghan reconstruction, and dealing with the North Korean nuclear standoff.
