3 European scientists receive Japan science awards
TOKYO, Japan - Albert Fert (L), 69, from France, a professor at Paris-Sud University with expertise in physics, receives the Japan Prize from the Science and Technology Foundation of Japan in Tokyo on April 19. Peter Ashton, 72, from Britain, a forestry professor at Harvard University, and Peter Grunberg, 67, of Germany's Research Center of Solid State Physics in Julich, also received the prize.
