Daiei parent sales fall below 1 tril. yen for 1st time 28 yrs

TOKYO, Japan - Toru Nishimi, president of Daiei Inc., speaking at a news conference in Tokyo on April 20 where the struggling supermarket chain announced that its parent-only operating revenues sank below 1 trillion yen in the 2006 business year for the first time in 28 years.
