Hirohito discontent with Yasukuni's honoring Class-A war criminals

TOKYO, Japan - Emperor Hirohito (in a file photo taken in 1988) was discontent with Yasukuni Shrine's enshrining of Class-A World War II criminals and concerned about disputes with other Asian countries over history, according to the diaries kept by Ryogo Urabe, a chamberlain of the Imperial Household Agency.
