Japan, EU agree on need for immediate action on climate change
BERLIN, Germany - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe (L), German Chancellor Angela Merkel (C) and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso (R) on their way for a ceremonial photo session of the Japan-EU summit at the Chancellery in Berlin on June 5. Abe and the EU leaders agreed on the need for immediate and strong action to stop global warming, committing themselves to taking the lead on setting a new international framework to fight climate change.
