SAN DIEGO, California - Daisuke Matsuzaka in action against the San Diego Padres on June 22. The Japanese right-hander (9-5) allowed one run in six innings to outduel four-time Cy Young winner Greg Maddux, helping the Boston Red Sox to a 2-1 win over the Padres.
