Sweets maker Akafuku ordered to suspend operations

TSU, Japan - Inspectors from the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Ministry and the Mie prefectural government visit the premises of sweets maker Akafuku Co. in Ise, Mie Prefecture on Oct. 19. Mie Prefecture suspended its business operations for violating the food sanitation law by collecting unsold products from retail outlets, refrigerating them and reselling them under a new expiry date.
