Sapporo awaits Japan Series Game No. 1

SAPPORO, Japan - ''Go for it, Fighters! Two-peat as Japan No. 1!'' This overhead banner in Japanese greets baseball fans at JR Sapporo Station as they arrive in Sapporo on Oct. 27 to watch the Japan Series opener between the Sapporo-based Nippon Ham Fighters, the defending champions, and the Chunichi Dragons from Nagoya at Sapporo Dome. The game opens at 6:15 p.m.
