Japan, U.S. hold joint military drill in Hiroshima, Yamaguchi

HIROSHIMA, Japan - Members of Japan's 13th Ground Self-Defense Force Regiment (foreground) based in Kaita, Hiroshima Prefecture, and U.S. Marines stand at attention at an initiation ceremony for joint security drills in Yamaguchi and Hiroshima at the U.S. Iwakuni Marine Corps Air Station in Iwakuni, Yamaguchi Prefecture, on Nov. 13. The drills through Nov. 15 are part of joint Japan-U.S. military exercises that have been conducted in various areas of Japan since Nov. 5.
