5 Singaporeans missing at Cambodia boat race

PHNOM PENH, Cambodia - Five Singaporeans are missing in Cambodia's Tonle Sap after an annual boat race (in photo) began in Phnom Penh on Nov. 23, a senior police official said Nov. 24. The water festival is a three-day event recalling the long history of a Cambodia that defeated enemies using boats and the biggest festival in which farmers have the chance to visit the city after months of hard work in the rice fields.
