D. Kameda apologizes for breaking rules in world title fight
TOKYO, Japan - Troubled boxer Daiki Kameda apologized in a press conference in Tokyo on Nov. 30 for breaching fight regulations in a WBC flyweight title match last month and said he wants to wipe the slate clean and start afresh. Kameda, 18, had three points deducted in the 12th round of the fight in Tokyo for resorting to underhand tactics against champion Daisuke Naito. He was subsequently slapped with a one-year ban by the Japan Boxing Commission.
