Western-style beauty salon pioneer Mei Ushiyama dies at 96
TOKYO, Japan - Mei Ushiyama (in file photo taken in December 2004), a pioneer of Japanese beauty salons and cosmetics, died of heart failure at a Tokyo hospital on Dec. 13, her family said on Dec. 16. She was 96.
