Retrial for wartime speech crackdown case ends with no verdict
TOKYO, Japan - Maki Kimura (front), wife of the late Toru Kumura, one of five men convicted for the ''Yokohama Incident,'' a case involving wartime repression of free speech, expresses disappointment at a press conference in Tokyo on March 14. The Supreme Court earlier in the day rejected an appeal against a lower court decision to terminate the retrial of the five men.
